Sapana Sanjeevani is a Nepali visual artist and art educator whose practices explores heritage and personal storytelling. Deeply rooted in the cultural art and craft traditions of Mithila, her practice draws continuous inspiration from folk heritage while adapting it into contemporary forms. She is currently a final year student pursuing Bachelor of Craft & Design at School of Arts, Kathmandu University.

Prabha Napit is a Nepalese artist, textile designer, and educator whose practice is deeply rooted in culture, identity, and community. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Kathmandu University, School of Arts, and a Master of Applied Design and Art from Curtin University in Western Australia. Through her artistic practice, teaching, and professional work, Napit carries a clear vision: to respect, preserve, and reimagine Nepali arts and cultural values for the present and future. Her work focuses on motif and pattern design inspired by rituals, festivals, ceremonial objects, and traditional crafts. Her artworks aim to preserve cultural memory while adapting it for contemporary use in narrative textiles, ensuring that tradition continues to evolve rather than fade.
Rajshree

Rajshree is an undergraduate textile student with an interest in mixed media, intricate details, and material exploration. Currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree, she works across different materials and techniques, approaching each process with curiosity and openness. Her creative practice is inspired by memories, everyday moments, and the familiar things around her. She often views ordinary subjects through a poetic lens, finding emotion and meaning in details that may otherwise go unnoticed. Through her work, she explores the relationship between materials, textures, and personal experiences, transforming simple observations into thoughtful visual and tactile expressions.

As a Textile student and an Indigenous Rai woman, I approach my practice as both an artist and an artisan, driven by a deep curiosity for exploring mediums. My curiosity extends into research and writing, where I trace cultural narratives, faith traditions, and ancestral practices that shape my community.

Persis Rai is an undergraduate textile student. Growing up surrounded by the traditions and everyday objects of her culture has deeply influenced her creative practice. Through her work, she aims to preserve these memories and encourage others to reflect on the cultural experiences that shape their own identities.

I am a BFA graduate based in Kathmandu, where I was born and raised. As an artist i explore as many mediums as Ican. I express my ideas mostly through paintings but playing with clay is what soothes me. My artistic endeavors has led to me knowing our historical and contemporary cultural heritage, knowledge I would like to use to preserve and promote our tangible and intangible heritage.

Sonam Lhamu Tamang is a visual and textile artist based in Lalitpur, Nepal. Currently completing her Bachelor’s degree at the Kathmandu University School of Arts. Tamang works across multiple mediums with a primary focus on textile arts and traditional crafts. Her creative practice is deeply rooted in a desire to preserve and revitalize Nepal’s heritage techniques. By combining foundational handcraft traditions with contemporary form, Tamang seeks to bring endangered local art forms into a renewed, modern context. Her work balances tactile experimentation with a commitment to cultural continuity.

Her artistic practice has evolved through the exploration of diverse materials, mediums, and techniques, broadening her creative perspective beyond drawing, where her interest in art first began. She is passionate about experimentation and values the learning process as an essential part of her artistic growth. Through continuous exploration, she seeks to expand her technical skills, develop a distinctive visual language, and create thoughtful works that reflect both curiosity and craftsmanship.
