An initiative to reintroduce Nepal, our creativity, and our heritage of craftsmanship to the world.

Women-led, purpose-driven, and with just the right amount of whimsy

Felt This Way blends Nepal’s rich crafts heritage with contemporary design to create felt products that are way more fun than they should be! Each one of our creations, made by our all women-workforce, offers a sustainable, plastic-free alternative rooted in Nepal’s artisanal legacy.

Our entire workforce is made up of Nepalese women who come from many diverse backgrounds - most of our artisans come from marginalised backgrounds. We pay fair wages and extend personal development opportunities to everyone involved resulting in creations you and your family adore - including your furry friends.

THE STORY OF FELT THIS WAY

Handmade, Hundred-percent natural, Hwimsical ;)

Our Journey

In 2024, "Felt This Way" began in Kathmandu with a straightforward purpose: to create exceptional, high-quality felt products while empowering the women who make them.

What started as a shared vision among local artisans has grown into a dedicated, all-female collective. We combine traditional Nepali craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic, ensuring that every piece we create is both beautiful and built to last. For us, sustainability is not a marketing term; it is the core of our operations. We source our materials responsibly and design our processes to respect both the environment and the people who bring our products to life.

Today, our workshop stands as a space of independence, creativity, and fair livelihood for women in Kathmandu. Every item we share with the world carries that story of skill, resilience, and conscious design.

How We Use Felt

We use 100% organic Oeko-Tex certified New Zealand wool. Each piece is completely handcrafted using the traditional method of wet felting. In addition, our artisan sisters add intricate embroidery by hand to each product, giving it life through multiple threads. From start to finish, every product is made with heart and hands that give it the soul that no machine ever could!

Through our creations, we want to showcase our artistry while aligning our core values to the production process. Being the versatile and low-waste fabric that felt is, it was the natural choice (pun intended) to intertwine culture, sustainability and authenticity into our designs.

Core Values
